International opportunities throughout the agricultural value chain are continuously evaluated for investment. The projects may be green field, for acquisition or new ventures. Large scale irrigation schemes for field crops dominate the investment portfolio but diversification in other sectors such as feed processing, date processing and tissue culturing form important components. Where suitable, projects are structured to involve local farmers as part of creating employment and markets. Investment have been made in Sudan, Egypt, Ukraine and Poland and progress has been made to initiate investment in Mauritania and some other countries. RAII, as mother company, drives investments.
